Ministry and Religious Studies

Unity Institute and Seminary’s Graduate Studies (M&RS) program offers courses for students seeking graduate-level courses in ministry and religious studies. The program is designed for students answering a call to ministry or spiritual leadership
Courses in the M&RS program occur each year over four terms on campus at Unity Village.
(Contact for a list of courses that may be taken online.)
There are three paths within the M&RS program:

Master of Divinity (M.Div.)

A Master of Divinity is a professional degree for students interested in becoming Unity ministers. The M.Div. requires a bachelor’s degree and completion of 90 credit hours.

Diploma in Unity Ministry

A Diploma in Unity Ministry is for students without a bachelor’s degree who want to become Unity ministers. This program requires an Academic Demonstration and completion of 127 continuing education units.

NonDegree Program

Our nondegree program is open to anyone interested in taking graduate-level courses without earning a degree or Diploma. These audited courses will not satisfy program requirements.

Application and Admission

Enrollment in Ministry and Religious Studies courses requires application and admission to Unity Institute. We recommend talking with our admissions representative before applying.
